I am enrolled in an art based therapy cirriculm and in order to be certified, I
need to fulfill some practicum hours.
The course is Art Without Boundaries. You could google this to learn more about
the technique.
Next week, Noel Hammer, the person who developed this technique will be flying
into town to train me. The course is geared toward Alzheimers and autism. I
have time slots filled at local nursing homes but have yet to find autistic
individuals I can train with.
Does anyone know of any parents who would be interested in having their autistic
family member participate in a painting activity for a half an hour. I have all
day Wed. and Thurs on May 6th and 7th that need to be filled. I am not
soliciting or selling anything. I do not want any monatary gain. I simply want
to take advantage of the time I have with Ms. Hammer to get my training in. I
get certified, the parents get to keep the beautiful painting produce by their
kids and the kids are engaged in singing, movement, storytelling, praise and
create their own work of art.
The parents are free to watch Noell and I work with their kids.

the families can meet but I can't reserve a location without any interest.
