Jenn!
Thanks so much for scouting these. I like the compass one, and the "Linda Thompson" example from Link #2. Short and classy.
I might stay away from plaques like the examples in Link #1. I worked in a trophy shop for awhile, and those guys tend to have wood/cork backs covered by plastic veneers. They'll go to pot early, a la that Little League Most Improved award you got in 1987 (um ... maybe that's just me). I'm thinkin' the bronze ones would look better and last longer.
Again, way to go with this. Hope y'all are doing well.
Love,
Kristen

I've been looking on-line to see some options for the plaque that will
be displayed in the Cart/GIS lab in Fraser Hall. There are SO many
options!
There are some basic decisions we need to come to a consensus on like:
- type of material (acryllic, wood, bronze, other)
- with or without photo
- wall mounted or tabletop
- engraving
I found prices that ran from as low as $20 to over $600. I think our
initial plan was to spend ~$150?
Here are some examples of what's out there- please share your opinion!
These sites had the most examples of the basic/traditional options:

Here are some other types of plaques I found that are alternatives to
the traditional designs:

Check out the compass on this website- (for my 2cents, I like this as a
general idea that could possibly be used as we consider other
customized options)
