Re: [RememberingLisa] Re: scholarship $

I searched a couple of sites today jsut to see how much magnets would cost and I found that in general, they were fairly cheap when you were willing to order in bulk with a minimum of 200 or so.   It looked like they'd be around 15 cents a piece or so. I'm not sure how much they'd be if we only needed a certain number.  I can do some more research once we all decide if we are for or against doing those.

I cannot believe how much money has been raised so far! I am so touched
by the outpouring of support. I think it speaks to just how much Lisa
was loved and how many lives she affected.

I think the thank you notes are a great idea to extend our personal
appreciation to those who have so generously contributed. Are we still
planning to divide the list and share the work?

As for the postcards- if we decide to send magnets then obviously the
postcards would not work. I like the magnet idea, but agree that some
people may find it weird if they receive one. But Jason's suggestion
that we include magnets for select people is a good solution.

I appreciate the desire to save some money, and therefore, if it's not
too much trouble to price out the options, we could make a better
informed decision. However, I am a little uncomfortable with writing a
heartfelt thank you note that total strangers will be able to read if we
send postcards. But, if other people are okay with the postcards, then
I'll get over it.

About the thank yous, I would price out 250 and see what the prices are. Once we have them, we have them. They won't go out of date and we can use them as...

I think this is amazing, especially since we haven't had Rochester or New York area fundraisers yet (which I still think would be a good idea, but clearly...

Personally, I think the bi-fold is more formal and more personal than a postcard. I would hate to send a significant donor just a postcard (especially The...
