I think this is amazing, especially since we haven't had Rochester or New York area fundraisers yet (which I still think would be a good idea, but clearly aren't pressing matters since the fund has been growing so quickly!). We can always use our discretion with sending the magnets (so they go to friends and family of Lisa), and if we end up with lots left over we can decorate our apartments/Lisa shrines with them. Thanks so much to everyone involved with coordinating this. It's fantastic! DO we have any way of knowing how many of the donations come from people who checked out the website? And do we know if the letters have been posted yet in newspapers?

About the thank yous, I would price out 250 and see what the prices
are. Once we have them, we have them. They won't go out of date and
we can use them as more contributions come in over the years.
Magnets... hmmmm.... I don't know one way or another. I do remember
once that the post office told me I couldn't mail magnets because they
screw up the postal machines. But then, I've gotten "save the date"
magnets in the mail from people getting married. I'm fine with just
thank you notes, but if folks want to price out magnets, I wouldn't be
against it. I am thinking it might be a little weird for people like
my sister and my uncle to get magnets that say "Love in Lisa" since
they never met Lisa but did contribute to the fund. On the other
hand, getting a magnet might be cool for people like Jen (Weldin)
Deshaies who knew Lisa and wrote a nice note with her donation that
Kim forwarded to me (I'll try and scan it and post it here).
Overall, I'm so happy with the progress we've made. Almost ready to
think about the NEXT $10,000 : )
