TY: HI Ellis-
Thanks for your input. I was actually referring to the potential
side effects of sermroelin, rather than rHGH.
One issue I have not researched yet on rHGH is the pituitary down regulation.
Can you tell me if you have collected data on this and
what you think?
Ellis: [After I had taken HGH every single day for about 18 months,
somebody said that my pituitary was probably "fried" and I would need
to take growth hormone for the rest of my life, because my pituitary
would not release any HGH anymore...
So... against my will and better judgement, but in order to find
out if my pituitary was still working or not, I stopped taking growth
hormone for 30 days.
I took 5 blood tests during those 30 days, more or less day 0
(before I stopped), day 1, day 3, day 14, and day 30... We figured that if my
IGF-1 would be below 100, my pituitary
was probably "fried"... But... at the end of 30 days my IGF-1 was...
At a level that would be considered excellent for a healty 25 year
old athlete... 201...
At the end of 14 days had been about 220, so my IGF-1 level went down
to 201 from 220... and if I had continued not taking HGH, perhaps
my IGF-1 would have continued to drop 20 points in the next 14 or 30 days...
But EVEN IF it would have bottomed out at, suppose, 150, THAT WOULD
BE A VERY "NORMAL" IGF-1 FOR A HEALTHY 54 YEAR OLD MAN... (I was about
54 at the time...)
So... I decided that my pituitary is probably still alive, very healthily.
You can read about it here:

There is little or no research on sermorelin, side effects or
otherwise, and your prolactin comment is well taken. Might increase
FSH or LH too.
There is the possibility that the Pituitary may be stimulated to
hypertrophy, where with GH it could be a reverse?
Ellis: [I didn't understand what you just wrote... I only speak
Spanish and English... but from what happened to me, I think my
pituitary probably is better than when I started to take HGH, at
age 52.
By the way... NEXT MONTH will be my TENTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY taking
growth hormone EVERY SINGLE DAY except for those 30 days, and another
14 days at some point to show that some DOCTOR who was selling us his
snake oil was saying baloney, as some doctors are prone to do,
especially if they are pushing a product. 10 years taking growth
hormone nearly every single day... I think not many people in the
HISTORY OF Planet Earth can say they have taken growth hormone
nearly every day for 10 years... That would be... about 7000 iu's
of growth hormone... UN-BE-LIEVABLE! - Ellis]
Lots a work remains to be done, no doubt.
I am working with some people on this and will keep you posted. The
blood work is costly, but we will do the best we can.
regards,
TY
Ellis: [O.K. keep us informed of whatever you learn. I am not
trying to push growth hormone over sermorelin... I will be very
glad if it turns out to be a good anti-aging product. I will
probably want to sell it like I do all good hormones, if it turns
out to be a good product. But for the moment, I am still only
a growth hormone devotee...
Thanks for writing. - Ellis Toussier]
