I am going to be SIXTY TWO years old in AUGUST!!!
And I feel like a teenager... I walk faster than most people do...
I never get tired... My brain and my mind are always working, my
memory is good, I am in a good mood, always optimistic and always
doing new projects. My sex life is the same (or better) as when
I was 20...
In nine years I have only had a cold once or twice... and it didn't
even knock me down... I just sneeze and sniffle and feel a bit down...
MY SON TOLD ME A FEW DAYS AGO: Pa, I don't know what you have today...
YOU LOOK YOUNGER than usual... Now I believe you: You really are
growing younger!
I had to confess what is different: my EYEBROWS... I had a hair
transplant on Tuesday, July 3, to thicken my eyebrows... 150 hairs,
strategically placed, one by one...
You can see several videos of how it is done, here:
http://www.dhiglobal.com/
Today, SIX DAYS LATER, the transplanted hairs have grown about
one quarter of an inch, and I look a bit like Groucho Marx! This
might make you laugh (it makes ME laugh) but I LIKE THEM like
this!
The doctor (a plastic surgeon) said that it would take about 2 or
3 weeks to look like I want it to, and maybe in 3 months it would
be better... but in SIX DAYS it already LOOKS GOOD...
I don't know why, I have a head full of hair, but my EYEBROWS have
fallen out... I had empty spaces in my eyebrows, and they covered
about 1 inch instead of about 2 inches from end to end. NOW I LOOK
BETTER, in MY EYES (which are the only eyes that are important...)
As I told a friend, if you ask me how are YOUR EYEBROWS, I have no
idea how anybody's eyebrows are... I don't notice if they are full
or missing... but if you ask me about MY EYEBROWS, it bothered me
a lot that they were missing...
I got 150 hairs transplanted one by one, from the back of my head
to my eyebrows... It took about 1 hour. I was concious all the
time... I walked out of the doctor's office without any problem,
and I had no discomfort and no pain when the (local) anesthesia
wore out... It cost me $750 dollars and the transplanted hairs will
stay permanently, as long as I live because they don't fall out...
I will even have to CUT THEM when they grow too long...
The doctor said the transplanted hair will fall out, but it is
growing so well that I doubt that I will notice... It was supposed
to be until October that I would be happy with my new eyebrows,
but I am very happy with them as they are, already...
Perhaps it is vain to want eyebrows, but I wanted to have eyebrows
that look as good as the rest of me... I don't know why I had lost
eyebrows, but I had... And I didn't like how I looked with about
half of my eyebrows gone...
I am always amazed at all the anti aging progress that happened in
the 20th Century... and now, in the 21st Century... 40 years ago
we couldn't get bio-identical growth hormone or insulin or EPO or
testosterone... If you could have gotten them, Doctors were scared
of using hormones...
We couldn't even get a glucose meter, which is basic to understand
how to eat and to try to stay in optimal health... We couldn't
get Botox... Ten years ago I could not have had an eyebrows
transplant because they used to transplant strips of hair... now it
is hair by hair, one by one... and it is much better than the old
method...
I am also going to get two or three sessions of Fraxell (laser
therapy) done on my neck and on my face and hands... and 1 session of
Thermage... and maybe Botox... and maybe Restilane... but no surgery,
yet... maybe some day, but that day hasn't arrived yet.
I like Fraxell and Thermage because they stimulate the skin to regrow
collagen and elastin... New skin is stimulated to grow and old skin
tightens... I think it looks very natural, and very good.
So... The inside of me is staying young because I try to eat well
and I take growth hormone and testosterone and insulin and EPO,
etc., and I have had about 40 EDTA chelation, and more than a
dozen hyperbaric oxygen treatments...
Staying young on the inside is the most important because it is real... The
outside is superficial... but the outside is what I
can see in the mirror... and damn! What I couldn't see because
they were gone was bothering me! So now they are back. I look
a bit strange in my eyes, with Groucho Marx Eyebrows... but I like
how I look... I look good!
I really have grown younger in 9 years... or at least, I am not
growing older very fast... The outside is superficial, maybe, but
I like how it feels to look young and healthy... And the inside is
feeling great, so I wanted to have an outside with eyebrows, to go along with
the inside.
