I'm using the suggestion of insulin in an oil on the skin posted
six weeks ago. It is working wonderfully! Red spots on my skin
are disappearing. Older blemishes are improving immensely.

I'm using 20 units of insulin in half an ounce of oil three times
daily.

Thank you,

Richard Smith

[Hello Richard...

That's great news, thanks for letting us know... But I wonder,
if topical insulin can make red spots on your skin disappear,
what would injected insulin do for the inside of your body?

There was a time when I was afraid of using insulin, just like
everybody else who has heard that it is a very dangerous
hormone... I even know DOCTORS who try not to prescribe insulin
to their DIABETIC PATIENTS because they feel that anything else
is better... squeezing the last drop of insulin out of the
pancreas, etc.

And the fact is that it is much more "delicate" to use insulin
than, for example, growth hormone or EPO. You can hardly take an
overdose of growth hormone or EPO that will harm you in ONE DAY...
but if you don't know how to use insulin, you could conceivably
take an overdose which can kill you, so you CAN die accidentally
from using too much insulin, and also not knowing what to do
in case of too low glucose levels.

But it is REALLY EXTREMELY EASY to learn to take insulin correctly,
in such a way that DEATH from an overdose is out of the question,
and that is to follow my Cardinal Rule: EAT SOMETHING BEFORE OR
SOON AFTER YOU INJECT INSULIN.

It is as simple as that. I didn't say "something good" or "eat a
lot of..." I just said "eat something..." I have NEVER EVER
come close to having hypoglycemia after I learned this rule,
except when I purposely experimented with dropping my glucose
levels to 50 mg/dl.

I experimented with dropping my blood glucose to 50 mg/dl by
injecting a dose higher than my normal and NOT eating... and
I stopped the drop with ONE HALF OF AN EGG YOLK. That's
all it takes to stop the drop.

(Note: My normal dose is 3 iu of Humulin "R" before a meal... I
had already tried using 5 iu and 8 iu, and I was using 10 iu of
Humulin "R" on an empty stomach, and testing blood glucose every
5 minutes... I had a large glass of orange juice nearby, and a
shot of glucagon ready to inject "in case of emergency.")

But now there is Lantus, which is even better. Lantus is
24 hour insulin, and the beauty of it is that IT DOESN'T PEAK.
As I understand it, Lantus crystallizes when it is injected
into the fat, and then it slowly dissolves at a steady rate,
which is why it gives off a slow and steady stream of insulin.

I have NEVER gotten hypoglycemia with Lantus in about 5 months,
and it helps me to have readings close to 85 almost all day,
every day. (I used to take 3 iu Humulin "R" regular or "Humalog"
fast acting insulin, before each meal and 0, 1 , or 2 after a
meal, depending on my blood glucose tests... Now, using Lantus,
I hardly ever take a shot of insulin before most meals, except
when I know I am going to eat a large meal, and I have cut my
dose of Humalog from 3 iu to 2 iu. before meals... and I hardly
ever get a reading above 100 mg/dl.)

What I am saying is: if DOCTORS have NOT used INSULIN topically
to heal wounds for more than half a century, when this information
was PUBLISHED 1948, then they have missed the boat entirely on
injectible insulin also... So don't listen to doctors who tell you
that using insulin is out of the question... I think INJECTIBLE
INSULIN used correctly would probably do as much or more for your
INSIDES as you have found that it does for your OUTSIDES.

I repeat WHY I use insulin: 1) Because it is almost FREE
2) Because it DOESN'T HURT, and 3) Because it helps me to
keep my glucose levels controlled, which I think will be
GOOD FOR MY HEALTH in "the long run..." which means that
I THINK that I will be in better health when I am 90 years
old because I kept my glucose levels between 70 and 100 mg/dl
than I would have been if I had not used insulin for the
previous 30 years.

Score another great idea you learned (and I learned too) on
Rejuvenation. It is not enough to LEARN good ideas... you
also should APPLY them to your own anti-aging program.

Thanks for writing...
