Re: Toussier's Rule of Cinnamon

Based on R.A. Anderson's 2003 Diabetes Care article, I
have successfully used cinnamon capsules (water
extract) to lower fasting blood sugar from 95 to 73 in
a month, the identical result that a friend of mine, a
female MD, used.

[That's very good but... how many times did you check that
your fasting blood glucose was 95, and how many times did
you check that your fasting blood glucose was 73? I have
checked my blood glucose almost every day for about 5
years, and fasting blood glucose "jumps" around a lot...
and it depends on what I ate the night before...

In any case, I recommend you try this: Drink a 500 ml
glass of ORANGE JUICE and measure your blood glucose
many times in two hours, so that you get a graph of
points...

http://www.rajeun.net/35minutes.html

Then... take cinnamon, and repeat the test...

See how much CINNAMON is really affecting and protecting
you vs. the rise of blood glucose.

In fact, it is a very good idea, I am going to REPEAT my
experiment with ORANGE JUICE now that I am taking LANTUS,
and we'll see how good it really is. What is really
important is to have protection when we eat INCORRECTLY,
not so much when we are eating correctly.

You see, the problem is really that it is TOO EASY to
become complacent that your blood glucose is controlled,
with cinnamon or with insulin or with metformin... And
then you stop testing, and you really are not as controlled
as you thought you are, therefore you are suffering a
slow slow damage... It really is very important to test
your blood glucose several times a day, spot check here
and spot check there... I am OFTEN surprised to see my
blood glucose is higher than I expected, after eating
what I thought is an innocent fruit, or an innocent
chocolate ice cream...

And as always: DON'T BELIEVE ME... BELIEVE THE GLUCOSE
METER...

Anybody else's OPINION doesn't count... the GLUCOSE meter
tells it as it is. - Ellis]

VRP did a study on diabetic dogs, finding the cinnamon
dose to be weight dependent...e.g a 180 lb diabetic
would use 14 grams/day.

[Wow! A 180 lb. diabetic dog would be a pretty big dog!
(note: I'm joking...) - Ellis]
