I am a 60 year old man currently taking hcg (human corionic
gonadotropin) shots every other day. I am interested in
possibly adding HGH to my current program.
However, I am concerned that as a borderline type II diabetic,
my blood sugar levels may increase. I currently take 1500 mg
of Metformin XR at bedtime.
My fasting blood sugar levels during the day are normal and
my last HbA1c test was 5.5.
Your advice would be appreciated.
[You have a hard choice, but the answer is simple:
take HGH.
Don't worry that it MIGHT increase your blood sugar level...
it won't... but if it does, that is EASY to bring down, with
insulin, or diet, or diet and exercise, or diet and exercise
and metformin...
I would like to know if you are RESISTANT TO INSULIN... If
you DON'T KNOW, then you have to find out... take a blood
test and test for INSULIN (do not confuse with "blood
glucose")
If you are NOT resistant to insulin, I want to know how your
pancreas is reacting to carbohydrates, ie, I want you to drink
a glass of ORANGE JUICE and then MEASURE YOUR BLOOD GLUCOSE many
times during 120 minutes... See my page: Assess Your Pancreas
http://www.rajeun.net/assess.html
and interpret the results with this page:
Interpretation of 10 typical Glucose Tolerance Test Results
http://www.rajeun.net/gtt.html
If your pancreas is either "3 engines" or "two engines (diabetes
II, lite)" or "one engine (advanced diabetes II)" or
"no engines (Diabetes Type I)" then you can benefit from
using insulin. Since you say you are "borderline
diabetic" I predict that you are either 3 engines (blood
glucose rises to about 160 then falls again in about 120
minutes) or 2 engines (blood glucose rises to about 160
then falls again in about 180 minutes, or a little more...)
If you are resistant to insulin, you will have to lose
resistance to insulin before you can use insulin. Write
to me and I will give you my "Ellis Toussier Secret Weapon
Method to Lose Resistance to Insulin"... just keep it
secret, because I intend to SELL it someday. (I always
say that, and I never do it...)
(Anybody subscribed to Rejuvenation who is resistant to
insulin, ask me for my page that shows you how to reverse
insulin resistance... I THINK it works... - Ellis)
You're not going to accept to let your body deteriorate
because of the FEAR that PERHAPS your blood glucose will
increase... If it does increase, we'll bring it down... if
not with insulin, then with diet and exercise and metformin,
or whatever it takes...
So... Don't worry about blood sugar... Worry about growing old.
Buy a glucose meter and 200 test strips, and test your blood
glucose before and after eating...
And IF blood glucose is often above 100, and you are NOT resistant
to insulin, then your problem will be solved with LANTUS insulin,
10 iu taken once a day... I GUARANTEE your blood glucose will
be controlled, and you won't have ANY problem with it... You
will have to get a prescription for Lantus, but if you explain
what I just told you to a doctor, he might prescribe Lantus to
you. If he doesn't... write to me... we'll solve the problem.
Worry about growing old, which is CERTAIN will happen if you
don't take growth hormone.
Thanks for writing.
