I thought I would add a little information about metformin. It is not
sugar (has nothing to do with it actually), and it does not work by
stimulating the pancreas but rather it works by increasing insulin
sensitivity of the body tissues, e.g. muscles. Apparently, it increases
sensitivity to insulin and to IGF-1.

It is something worth looking at and studying more carefully. E.g. LEF
announced a couple of years ago that according to their experiments
metformin mimics the effects of caloric restriction on gene expression.

[Hello Vasilis... yes, by now I have been corrected by three
