I will have to ask the doctor exactly which platelet
count it is.... I am not a physician... but I do know
the numbers go down to about 90 and should be over 200
when he is not on hgh...
[It doesn't seem to be hematocrit, which is the percentage
of red blood cells volume divided by total blood volume.
I don't know which count these numbers refer to. - Ellis]
When he is on HGH and doing well the numbers stay around
250... Currently Jose has had an increase in the cerebral
palsy symptoms.... he has a weakness in his hands and arms
particularly on the right side... When I put a shirt over
his head his right arm is stiff to his side and he tries
and tries to move it by moving the left hand into the
right sleeve even after it is in it's own sleeve... he also
has trouble using utensils and picking things up and
grasping...
Also since he has been off HGH now about a month we notice
he is more unstable... his balance is poor and he falls all
the time... especially when rising from sitting... honestly,
on hgh we never noticed such a pronounced deficit...
I am documenting as much as I can on a video camera... he is
also very fussy waking many times at night...his appetite changes
dramatically... He becomes a poor eater... And it seems he is
hungry all the time but nothing will satisfy him... so he does
not eat...
I do not know how much of this is linked to the benefits I know
he has received from HGH, but I do know there is a dramatic
change in him when he is off of it... his growth and weight
gain slow to an almost nonexistent state... I weigh and
measure him every week... weigh daily at times when I know
his eating is not good... I have tried the vitamin drinks...
etc....I give him children's chewable vitamins megadose as he
will eat them easily for me...
He is a tough little guy....he is speaking in words Spanish
and English now... but
I fear for development if I cannot soon find a doctor who
will prescribe HGH through our insurance... If there are
any doctors reading this from New Mexico... I beg for your
help for my son... I cannot supply his HGH with 5 children
and being sole supporter of my family right now...
I am working on my writing career and also beginning a
business as a web designer with my fathers advertising
agency... things take time...
I do not know where else to turn to help my child....I
want him to have the best chance at a normal life he can...
thank you all so much...
