This quote is very funny and I think a good point.

(What I am saying, of course, is that you should not stop taking growth hormone BECAUSE it is named "growth hormone" just as you should not stop EATING food because it MIGHT HELP the virus to GROW... So... yes, it is a bit funny, but it is the "good point" that you should ask your doctor about... - Ellis)

Anyway I did catch the Shingles early and they put me on Famvir and anti viral medication, followed by two weeks of Bioxin an antibiotic to prevent a secondary infection.
The steroid pac you referred to was just the standard package they were giving everyone with the bronchial flu and had a weeks worth of pills in it which you took six the first day, five the second and so on.  The package insert was scary especially the part about lowering the immune system, and I didn't want to take it.
Ellis I think if you check with any pharmacist he will tell you that taking steroids does lower the immune system.  I think these steroids are not what body builders take but more like corticosteroids.  I am on a Prednisone eye drops right now but that is not a systematic effect.  They give these steroids to asthmatics also.

(Prednisone has been referred to as "the Pill from Hell" and other similar names... I suggest you should try to get off it as soon as you can... it is related to Cortisol more than to testosterone... perhaps it is a "steroid" but it is not an "anabolic steroid"... - Ellis)

Stop GH? It seems to me the opposite would be true. If it were me I might double my dose for a week. What is your doctor's rationale for dc'ing GH? Fear?...
