Hi- does anyone know whether HGH has any effect (positive or negative) on
fertility and ability to carry a full term pregnancy for a 39 year old female
in good health who has not yet had children and would like to wait a few more
years?
[Yes, HGH probably has a positive effect on fertility and ability to
carry a full term pregnancy for a 39 year old female in good health...
It POSSIBLY also lowers the probability of a baby with Down's Syndrome...
I am only thinking out loud, I have no proof of this. However, since
the incidence of Down's syndrome goes UP with age of the mother, then
I THINK the incidence of Down's syndrome would go DOWN with a mother
who uses growth hormone several months or years before she becomes
pregnant, because it would reverse many of the signs of aging, and one
of these might be what causes an increase in the incidence of Down's
syndrome.
I would even say that there must be a dose of HGH that is correct for a
pregnant woman to take while she is pregnant... I would try at least
half an iu per day, if I was a pregnant woman... but I anticipate that
this is a topic that is difficult for any doctor to advise you on, since
there is very little or no information on this...
However, if growth hormone helps the mother's health, it can only be good
for the baby... or, so says I... but I am not a doctor. The fear would
be that it would make a baby grow bigger or faster than it should... I
think this would NOT happen, I think a baby would grow healthily, but not
bigger than normal.
Can a doctor please comment: do you think it would be GOOD for the baby
if the mother takes a small dose of growth hormone while she is pregnant?
