Dr. Marley: Latest studies (very large ones) have shown a
significantly increased incidence of breast cancer in post
menopausal women on Estrogen/progesterone, but not increased on
straight estrogen.
However the incidence of uterine cancer was higher in the plain
estrogen group.
So women who have had a hysterectomy are better off taking straight
estrogen rather than cycling with progesterone.
The rest, I guess, throw the dice. - cm
Ellis: Hello Dr. Marley... That is very strange, don't you
think? I wonder why that is? Why would estrogen and
progesterone cause a higher incidence of cancer than
estrogen alone? I can't think of a reason... I don't see
why estrogen or progesterone should cause cancer at all,
but I think they do... or at least, they feed cancer.
But supposing that it is correct, my answer to Judy Patterson
is still the same, she can take a steady dose of HGH...
I THINK HGH might LOWER the incidence of cancer...
Thanks for writing.
