Hi Will,
It's good to know that Reiki Workshops list is starting up again and that you'll
have separate forums for different purposes - there were just too many messages
for me before! I am flowing lots of Reiki for yourself and Jeff, as well as for
Jim and Meredith.
Jim - I also think that everyone/anyone can be taught Reiki - my belief being
that the Reiki healing energy would balance and heal people's emotional issues
over time. Then again, I do ask people to practice for a while after Reiki I,
before taking level II, which gives time for healing to occur. I also ask them
to complete case studies before they receive their Reiki II practitioner
certification and this all helps to ensure that those who do then practice, have
enough experience, confidence and some balance and self-healing completed
themselve.
I think I may also have mellowed :) - nowadays, I tend to trust more that
everything balances out, so maybe the teachers with ego issues, charging
'outrageous fees' etc. act as learning experiences for those who go to them.
During my own early years of self-healing and practice I had some 'negative
experiences' with therapists and teachers - and I have found that these all
turned out to be some of the most powerful and useful learning experiences for
me in the end.
Lee - I teach Reiki I in 1 day, so 6 hours teaching and practicing time, and
find this works well.
Elisabeth - Please get rid of that belieft that "people who are very popular and
work successfully for the Light often suffer." CANCEL it out NOW ! :)
wishing happy Reiki blessings to you all,
Susanna
