People often say that Reiki has changed their life. It's certainly
changed mine - this year has been a big year for me - I've started
running my own Reiki Retreats abroad!!

There are still a couple of places on both the trips I have planned,
and I'd love to open them up to folks on this forum. To join us, you
don't need to be super confident with your Reiki, you just need to
have done Reiki 1 or higher and to want to have a wonderful holiday
with Reiki workshops & shares built in.

The first trip that's coming up is in September, in Southern Spain -
in the Andalucian mountains at a wonderful converted farmhouse which
runs as a yoga retreat and complementary health centre. Here are the

...that is what I discovered on my recent stay at Los Limoneros
Hotel.



The Los Limoneros Hotel Yoga & Complementary Therapy Centre is
located in the beautiful region of Andalucia, Spain, near the small
town of Pizarra. At only 30 minutes and 40 kms inland from Malaga
airport, it is easy to get to but also well away from the hustle and
bustle of the tourist areas on the coast.


The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere with stunning scenery and
somewhere to simply relax and recharge those batteries. It's set
amongst lemon, fig and plum trees and has been beautifully converted
from an old farmhouse to provide superb accommodation for guests.
Amidst the garden you will find a swimming pool to relax by, and
sunloungers and swimming towels are provided free of charge
throughout your stay.



The informal atmosphere and the friendliness of Teddy, Sam, Smudge
and Bootsy the two dogs and two cats as well as everyone else you
will meet during your stay will soon help you to relax and unwind
and get the most out of your Reiki meditation and workshops and
treatments.



Los Limoneros Hotel's accommodation includes 7 twin/double rooms.
Each spacious room has been individually themed, for example Africa,
Egypt, Morocco. All have en-suite facilities.



The views from the rooms are of the lemon and orange groves and the
Guadalhorce valley as well as the old Moorish town of Alora.



Downstairs there is a television room with satellite television for
guests who might wish to keep up to date with both the local and
international news. There are also shelves full of English books
which are for the use of guests.





The Meals

Los Limoneros specialises in traditional Spanish cuisine using
fresh, locally grown produce. Guests with specific dietary needs can
also be catered for, please inform us when booking. All meals are
served outside on the terrace overlooking the garden and pool.

I can highly recommend the food - everyone eats together, and the
meals are absolutely delicious. My favourite pudding? (For pudding
enthusiasts) has to be the homemade lemon cake with vanilla ice-
cream - mouthwatering!



The honesty bar is kept well stocked with both well-known and local
alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as water.

Los Limoneros also keep a range of fine Spanish wines to complement
your meal.





The Complementary Health Centre



I've been practicing a variety of therapies since 2002. I trained
with the Tisserand Institute in Holistic Aromatherapy, trained with
Reiki Evolution 3 years ago as a Reiki Practitioner and Master /
Teacher, as well as studying with the Oxford School of Reflexology
to gain my Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. I also trained with
Elaine Tomkins (of Tisserand and Neal's Yard) in Indian Head Massage
and Forearm Massage. More recently I have been studying Quantum
Touch. I'm a member of International Federation of Professional
Aromatherapists (IFPA) and the Association of Reflexologists (AoR).



Yvette, who is also one of the owners, has been a practicing
complementary therapist since the mid 1990's. With a background as a
nurse in traditional medicine she slowly became interested in the
healing elements of complementary therapies.



Yvette and I will be offering therapy sessions during your stay.



Treatments can be experienced in the therapy room at Los limoneros,
or outside in the gardens in a secluded, covered, hidden terrace, a
sacred space surrounded by lemon trees - a simply wonderful
experience!



The surrounding area



A jeep drive into the mountains is not to be missed. The cross that
keeps watch above the nearby town of Pizzara is a wonderful spot for
Reiki, with stunning views out across the surrounding countryside.
The mountains are a fabulous place to watch the sunrise!


Guided Excursions to Granada's magical Alhambra Palace can be
arranged through the hotel for an extra charge, as can a trip out to
some stunning lakes just 40 minutes from our base at Los Limoneros.

The town of Pizzara is within walking distance from the hotel. It
has shops and cafes, banks and so on.

And the bustling seaside resort of Malaga is a 40 minute drive, or a
train journey from Pizzara will take you there.

The support of a Reiki Master / Teacher

(A bit about me...)
My name is Louise Heseltine and I've been a multi disciplined
practitioner in the field of holistic therapies for 4 years, and
working with Reiki for 3 of those years. I am a Reiki Master and
Teacher for Reiki Evolution, and have helped many clients and
students to enjoy the benefits of Reiki. These include for clients,
pain relief for many conditions, more energy, better quality of
sleep, speeding recovery form health complaints, as well as for my
students, discovering the spiritual development that comes with
making Reiki a part of their life and developing a regular Reiki
meditation and self treatment practice.

I do notice that some of my students struggle with establishing a
daily Reiki practice in their normal work and home environment. So
when the opportunity came along for me to organise this retreat, I
jumped at the chance. So now I can help those who want to immerse
themselves in a group that is intent and focused on using Reiki on a
daily basis with the support and guidance of an experienced Reiki
practitioner, Master / Teacher.



I have put together an opportunity for you to join me amidst the
peace and tranquility of the Andalusian Mountains. I will take you
through daily Reiki meditations, facilitate workshops covering many
different aspects of Reiki practice, as well as organising Reiki
treatment sharing sessions.



Taking time out at Los Limoneros will give you the chance to work on
your self healing and spiritual development without constant
interruptions from work, friends, family etc. Two daily Reiki
classes are included over a 5 day period, as are all your meals and
accommodation throughout your stay. So you don't have to worry about
a thing once you arrive, it's all arranged for you.
