May I suggest that you contact your local Adult/Further Education College. They
often have Local Reiki Master Teachers holding courses mainly I would think for
Reiki 1 and 2, in their colleges and the cost I found is very reasonable, in my
case as an O,A,P. (or whatever name one wishes to call us) it was £25 for 10
lessons lasting 3 hours each once a week, for Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 was about £20
for a 4 day x 8 hour session when the college had broken up for holidays. They
were also fun. Reiki has nothing to do with any church or religion, and is
open for you to use it wherever and whenever you feel inclined

Hi all,

I am very interested in Reiki. I have read quite a few website, but
i seem to get conflicting interpretations.

I really want to learn reiki. I have a friend who has given me a
reiki treatment which has provided me with benifit. But she is only
at level 1 and so cannot teach, and the friend who taught her is no
longer on the scene.

I would love to benefit from reiki myself and be taught and
attuned. But I am a little hazy on the particulars. Some people
say it hasby distance (mainly website selling home teaching packages). Also
some seem to say the attunement is an instant process, while others
say it takes 3 days per chakra and can be a traumatic process.

Can anyone shed any light on this contra-dication.

The above details don't distract from the deep feeling need I have
to learn Reiki, and I am wanting to find out if there are any
teachers in my area, which don't charge an absolute fortune!

I live in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, but I have a car and I am
wiling to drive a resonable distance if needed.

Also, I am a Christian and I am wanting to incoperate Reiki within
my faith, are there any other Christians on this site that practice
Reiki and are willing to chat to me?

I really hope someone can help, even if only on one of my queries.
