New to Reiki

Hi everyone.
I live in the UK and am tryign to learn all I can about reiki.
I study Tai chi chuan and kung fu, both of the Lee form and am very
interested in combining what I learn there with the gentle art of
reiki.
I was attuned to level 1 reiki about a year ago. Alot of things
happened
suddenly in my life and it meant I stopped practsiing reiki on
myself.
Another factor which made me stop practising was that I was feeling
i couldn't DO reiki, i felt a failure but was desperate to let it
work and when I asked my teacher for more guidance and what I should
be focused on and feeling to increase the flow and 'feeel' it
working, i found she was a bit dismissive as if I was impatient.
I am very eager yes..but i hope that will help me to learn rather
than hinder me.
I know alot depends on peace of mind and being a good clear channel
for the reiki. Maybe I have alot more work to do on myself before I
am ready.if it means i need to spend months working on my own inner
balance and clearing chakras then so be it...but I need guidance to
do that too.
There must be someone out there who shared my enthusiasm but lack of
success initially..who eventually developed a feel and instinct for
reiki. I have been studying Qi qong alongside my tai chi and kung f
adn for the first time am feeling my own 'chi' and sensing a feeling
fo what 'chi' could be.This is partly what has inspired me and
spurred be back into action to pick up where I left off with reiki.
I would dearly love a mentor to help me on my journey.
Glad to be here and looking forward to learning!
