Pam,
My son Justin is 11 1/2. I'm not sure how long he's had reflux I suspect
since he was a baby. He has been on meds since July 98. He curently takes
reglan 4x's a day, and zantac 2x's a day. I would ask his Dr. about different
meds, it sounds to me like he/she is too conservative if your son is having so
many symptoms, my opinion is he needs a stronger med, like prilosec. Justin
started on zantac but it didn't help him, he was put on priloec and it has
helped. Yesterday he saw the GI and he has talen Justin off prilosec and put
him back on zantac to see if he can be helped by a lesser med since he is
doing better. Justin has mostly silent reflux so he is able to go to school. I
did home school him though for a few years,he alsao has learning disabilities,
and migraines. I have heard of others asking about LD and GERD but don't know
if a study has ever been done.

Cathy
