Dear Jennifer:
My son Ryan had the surgery last year at six years old. He had a nissian
done laproscopicaly. He was home in three days. He never had a ng tube.
However he did have allot of complications. He has developed sever gas bloat
and unlike lynda's son has not gotten back his ability to burp. We may have
to go in and have the fundo stretched. They think it may be to tight.

However my son Ryan always shows eosinophilic esophagitis. So it is possible
that is why he has had so many problems even with the surgery. Like lynda we
had tried every medicine known to man and nothing had helped. Surgery was
are only option. I am hopeful that the new medicine will stop us from having
to stretch the fundo.
I agree with lynda get all of the information you can. We also got three
opinions before we went ahead. Even after all we have gone through I think
at the time with the information we had that we made the right decision.
