Dear Nancy:
It is funny you should have written this because they think my son Ryan's
fundo is to tight and they are talking about stretching it. My son has been
having problems with gas bloat since the surgery. They did an endo two
months ago and said the fundo looked fine. Since than he has been getting
really bad pain about and hour and a half after eating they are trying new
meds. His gastro said if they do not work he may have to have the dilation.
The only problem with that is if they make it to loose it can come undone or
he could start vomiting again. His doctor feels the stretching is the only
way the pain will stop if the new meds don't work is to do the I am hoping
the new meds work because the other choice does not thrill me? Does your
child have to have the stretching and how do you feel about it?
