I thought you may have a Spencer by looking at your e-mail address!! They first tried to aggressively treat his reflux to stop the oxygen desaturations/staring episodes. He did not take medications for seizures because he had two normal EEGs. After his reflux continued to worsen with worsening esophagitis to the point of Barretts esophagus and aspiration despite maxed out meds, they did a fundoplication. Although it was ultimately unsuccessful and his reflux continued, he didn't have the oxygen desaturations anymore. He did continue to have problems and had more surgery. I hope the 24 hour EEG goes well. I'm sorry I don't have any advice for getting through it though. Please let me know how Spencer does.
