Hi all,

I don't know about you but the season is a puke filled one here for
us. Too much excitement. Well, this year we haven't been so lucky.
My sons teacher is mortified by his GERD and is constantly telling
him he is sick (snotty nose and cough) and needs to see a Doctor. I
tried to get in before school started to talk to her and explain his
GERD but they were not interested and too busy. I got called every
day last week (by my son not the teacher) with requests to take him
home because he had vomitted.
I finally went and got him and headed directly to the Dr. Yup, not
sick. OK teach, proof, now move on..... I was called by her the 1st
week to inform me he was very behind and had some behavior "issues".
I tried to explain that he was suffering GERD related problems but
she didn't believe me. Two weeks and she was shown, by him, that it
was temporary. He is back up to grade 2 standards. They actually
asked if he could carry a bucket with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What
next, a sign? Plastic splash bib? Tatoo on his forehead? No dignity.
His other
teacher always understood and cared, this one dislikes him intensly,
is disgusted by the GERD and doesn't want to deal with his medical
issues, at all. Not one phonecall, except from my son saying the
teacher sent him to call to go home. I told her if he WAS sick he
wouldn't stop vomitting. He is becoming slightly depressed. He KNOWS
his teacher doesn't like him and why. It is obvious by how short she
is with him and by her reaction to his vomitting. How am I supposed
to deal with this? Any of you know how to deal with this? I would
appreciate any advise....

Paula

I'm sorry -- the number used is 504, not 405. But do call today. You owe it to yourself and your son. ... __________________________________________________ ...
