Welcome to the group. I don't know why but my digest had messages from April
30th through today!? My son is 12 and has had several surgeries for reflux
but he is far from the norm. I'm glad your GI seemed to listen and take
things seriously. There is a condition called Barretts esophagus which is a
pre-malignant condition and requires aggressive treatment. When the GI does
the scope, he will take biopsies that will show any inflammation or other
cellular changes if they are present. It takes about a week to get results.
I hope the testing goes smoothly on the 10th.
