How old is Emma? My son, Teddy is almost 8 and has had GERD since birth. He has had three endoscopies, has been on and off Prilosec or Previcid for 2 and 1/2 years and has been on Pepcid on and off in addition. He was just diagnosed with Asthma but no one knows if it is from the reflux or his severe allergies (he starts shots next week) and is also allergic to peanuts, nuts and berries. Almost every time we see the doctor, he brings up the fundo surgery but I'm very scared of it since I haven't heard many success stories. Please share yours if it is positive. Also, I've wanted to wait to see if he outgrows it or if not, if we wait, it gives the surgeons more time to get used to doing it laproscopically (which wasn't available when Teddy was younger). Maybe they'll invent something new in the meantime.
