Wow..three refluxers, I can't even imagine it. I was told that theophylline
is a major offender with GERD, although Kristopher was never on
theophylline. He does take short courses of steroids for his asthma when
needed and this does not increase the acid, but does thin the stomach lining
that breaks down the acid. I was told the constant back up of acid over the
gastroesophageal tissue caused the polyp. The biopsy revealed inflammatory
tissue and no other cellular changes. Kristopher never refluxed as a baby so
I thought maybe there was a correlation with the asthma meds and the
increased acidity. His pulmonologist is doing a research for me. Donna
