My son is also 12 and was found to have a polyp in his stomach about a year
ago. His problems are a little different in that he has been on Prilosec for
GERD for about 7 yrs now and Prilosec has a side effect of ECL cell
hyperplasia which is what caused my son's polyp. The polyp was left and his
surgeon and I will be discussing what to do about it soon as he is having
stomach surgery in July.
