My 9year old son,has reflux and asthma. He has not had successful
results with reglan,prilosic,carafate,axid,etc. He was put on Prevacid
on Feb. 7. He immediately had hives and has had them for 3 months. The
gastro doc took him off ALL reflux meds to see what the cause of the
hives are.In the meantime, he has not complained of stomach pain as
much as he did. He's refluxing more often. My question is this. Could
the meds make him have stomach fullness or pain? He's also eating
better. Even though his symptoms seem better, do you think it will be
just a matter of time before the pain and worsening of reflux as time
goes on? By the way he is on Gaviscon while we resolve the hives.
