my husband has been in recovery for almost 2 years now, about 4 months ago, he started having a relationship with another recovering addict (14 yrs younger) now he moved out and wants a divorce because while he was working on his 4th and 5th steps, he realized how unhappy he has been. I did'nt think these kind of relationships in the program were acceptable. I've already accepted it, and am moving on but I am upset about the fact that the people in the program allowed this, I would think that something like that would make his recovery dangerous. any thoughts??
