Lucy,
I kinda know where you are coming from, we buried my uncle this week, whom
died of Parkinsons (he has had it forever) anyways as he laid in bed (at
home, thanks God) he was in pain, they didnt want to give him the valumn
because it made him talk silliness and made him want to get out of bed, even
tho it calmed down his shaking quite a bit, then his last few days the pain
was quite worse and they refuse to give him extra or should i say increased
shots of morphine...craziness i tell you, the same nurses that said call the
family he doesnt have long is the same nurses that stated they were afraid of
him becoming dependant on the morphine..i about fell over, needless to say
arguing with a ridiculous statement such as that proved no help at all, so
therefore my poor uncle died in pain because of ignorance...Lucy, i am so
sorry that you had to go thru that with your husband i am sure it was tragic
for you hopefully one of these days the medical field will become human and
see what their actions do to others...take care of you....Mary Y.
