Hi eveyrone. I'm new here. I didn't know there was a site for us
Rhode Islanders until Kerrie just posted it on the Fibro Support Group.
I just turned 48 and have been suffering for a number of years at
various levels. In Oct. 2003 it got to the point I was calling my doc
almost every other day and crying because of the pain and fatigue.
I've been afraid of losing my job because there are times I can't get
out of bed.
I work seasonal work... usually April 1st until almost Christmas. I
have the winters off (thank God). It seems that I spend all winter
trying to recouperate from the "working year".
I work 8-5 M-F and 8-12 on Sat. I come home on Sat and basically pass
out on the couch until Monday rolls around again. Our real busy
season is from May 1st until after July 4th. Oh, I run the office of
a turf farm. The stress level can sometimes be unbearable. I do very
well under pressure... at least I did. I find that I don't do as well
anymore. After the stressful times is when I hurt. That and of
course, the stupid changes in weather.
Anyway, I didn't mean to write a book, but just wanted to say hi.
I go by the name Tigger on almost all the groups I'm on.
Hugs,
Tigger
