Fibro, one cause is Hgh-or lack there of   Message List

Only a handful of fibromites are helped by this substance, yet it
amazes me at how many doctors do not test for it. I was lucky, I saw
Dr Susan Levine in New York City. She did some testing and discovered
abnormal amount of growth hormone, so she pushed it to see if my
pituitary was acting properly. She used l-dopamine and I was blood
tested every hours for several hours. To get Hgh legally, they need
to have extensive documentation on this as Hgh can kill you if you
are not deficient in it. By this time, I was dragging one side of my
body as the leg refused to move by my command, only by its spasm.
When I went to work in my car, the one my son now drives, I would sit
outside my office waiting for someone to come by to help me out of my
car. Within 2 weeks of taking the shots every night, I went from
looking for wheel chairs, to being able to stand by myself. Not well,
but I could stand. Some days are better than others, but I could not
fathom the life I had before Hgh. I was given a gift during those
years of what my life would be like as I got older, so I acted on
that while I could still do so, and created a house I would
eventually die in, but would be at home for as long as I could be.
Wheel chair accessibility is not just for wheelchair bound people. It
means hand rails in your bathroom, a higher toilet seat, no stairs,
no door thresholds. To you out there with fibro, every day on your
feet is a good day. I fell this morning, as we are still in
construction and we have 2 mud pits, one in front, one in back. A lot
of construction clutter etc. I tripped-after 8 months of this horror,
I thought I got all the ins and outs of my condition and dealing with
uneven surfaces down to a science. I landed on what was left of my
side walk, leading to what was my old door way and skidded on my face
and knee. I made a mess and my husband, luckily was still home and
could help me to my feet. I can't wait for this to be over, but when
it is, I will have an area I don't have to worry about any more.
Anyway, that test is one to ask for, many doctors do not know about
the Hgh testing and how it affects fibro. Have a good day out there,
I will be nursing these wounds. Kathleen
