I was watching a documentary on tv about how Americans are the only
one of 2 people exposed to the direct marketing of meds. That doctors
receive direct payment from the pill manufacturers and that the
companies create diseases for cures they have discovered, like over
active bladder and PMMS, the second M I think is for money.

And regardless of how in the head or made up from otherwise unnoticed
symptoms something might be the doctors and those who believe in a
particular cure are very set in its efficacy.

That said I should tell you in addition to my possible FM I have been
long ago diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy which goes back to my
childhood. I have been on a much higher does of narcotics (the
duragesic patch 50mcg and oxycontin 80mg x 3 but now I am down to oxy
40mg x 3 and no patch) there is no more pain relief at either dose.

PN is considered a pain that few meds reach but I have heard more than
once that Pot, Marijuana, does help. Since Rhode Island allows Medical
Marijuana I am wondering if anyone here has ever used it for FM or
other pain? How well did it work? I am at a point where I am willing
to try anything.
