When mind is really out of the way the "light coming through the eyes" is of another order entirely. This is a light that "sees through us" and leads us to see through ourselves. This is a light not of "the moon, the stars, and the sun" but the unified source beyond those manifestations. It is the light of "the creative" itself.
In my own understanding, what you have pointed out here would be the "real" Shen. The bright light of healthy Shen that we ordinarily notice is typical of a healthy person, not one who is more evolved and has worked on themselves.
