No, core curriculum is not sufficient for making pulse assessment and diagnosis technically useful in the clinic. The core training we receive puts in place conceptually large umbrellas from which information gathered in quick pulse readings are placed under. Out side seminars have made technical and detailed use of pulse taking possible, but not core curriculum. Further, core pulse training, in my experience, never emphasized rechecking the pulse as an assessment tool throughout the treatment.
Lastly, agreeing with Dan, hari dx needs to part of core training.

Is there sufficient didactic pulse diagnosis training in the core curriculums of the schools?
