pulse questions

Hello,

1)  What does the presence of a bifurcated pulse indicate?  I had a 27 y/o female patient come in a while back with a LV pulse that possessed two distinct qualities.  Where the pulse is normally found in the guan position, the pulse was slippery and full.  Lateral to this was another distinct pulse (further out than what could be a Yang Ming pulse) that was thready, wiry, and slightly more rapid in comparison.  The other two positions were unremarkable.

2)  How is the diagnostic quality of the neoclassical system affected on a patient who is taking numerous medications, and how effective and/or long-lasting would such a treatment be?

Thanks,
Allyson C
