PDA Seminar
Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis
Contemporary Chinese Pulse diagnosis is a modern lineage based on Dr.
Hammer's collaboration with, and elaboration of, the work of John HF Shen,
OMD. More information, including articles and historical context, can be
seen at www.dragonrises.org.

The material presented in this workshop is designed to achieve two purposes:
• Provide the participants with an immediately useful and relevant body
of information to take into a clinical setting
• Introduce many of the major concepts and methods of Contemporary
Chinese Pulse diagnosis
The workshops will focus heavily on hands on instruction and practice
(70%) and theoretical framework and concepts (30%).

Seminar One
May 20, 2006 1-5PM (4 PDA)
• Intro to Pulse Dx
• History of Pulse Dx
• Value and Limitations of Pulse Dx
• Methodology and hands-on practice

May 21, 2006 10-6PM (7 PDA)
• Regular positions
• Complementary positions
• Hands-on practice
• Discussion of Interpretations

*Seminar One is required to sit for Seminar Two.

Seminar Two
June 24, 2006 1-5PM (4 PDA)
• Discussion of Interpretations
• Definitions of Qualities
• Hands-on practice


June 25, 2006 10-6PM (7 PDA)
• Discussion of pulse qualities
• Detecting Heart Conditions in the pulse
• Dr. Shen's System Approach
• Hands-on practice
Pricing:
$250 for Seminar One $400 for Seminar One and Two
