I have great respect for India and its rich history, having spent many years studying Vedic philosophy and finally returning to India to complete research for a postgrad thesis. I travelled throughout India in search of "succi karma" (so called Ayurvedic acupuncture). From the caves of reclusive healers in the south, to kalaripayatu marman practitioners who used marman (pressure points) with special oils and techniques, to the clinics of others who made impossible claims. One "acupuncturist" (from Sri Lanka) warned me that I would not be able to see his needle technique because he moved so fast and needed two nurses just to keep up with the volume of (rather rusty) needles that he employed. Yet another claimed my life mission was to re-write Sushruta's marman text (c2000BC) into a Chinese acupoints style presentation - but alas, amongst all the claims and colourful personalities, not one sniff of the "lost secrets of Ayurvedic
acupuncture". Claims are many be substance is another thing. I hope you find the South Indian acupuncturist that you speak of Dr Ahamed. Please let me know if you do! As for miracles, I certainly believe in them, but while I'm waiting I will study pulse diagnosis.
Best,
Mark Phillips.

Dear members,
Anybody has any idea about REVIVIFICATION in acupuncture or
acupressure.
Further I heard that a physician from allopathic system of medicines
basically studied acupuncture and after research he treats his
patients, in South India, only through acupuncture and that too
through NEUTRALISED OR BALANCED ACUPUNCTURE. He claims and challenges
that he cures Cancers and Diabetes only through the system he found
out in Acupuncture as said earlier without any medicine at all.
Anybody has any idea about these things. Kindly let me know the
details about it if possible. Thank you all.
