Hope everyone had a good weekend. I have a couple of questions and
cases.
1. Can I build out a tx using an 8 extra pulse and one or more
of the other methods ie Dai pulse and Yang Ming blog (day time wei
qi cycle)?
2. When building out a treatments using the 8 extras ie Dai
pulse, I would open with GB 41 and then choose points along the
trajectory? Can I choose points off the meridian and if so do they
take away the focus from the Dai?
Case 1 40 yr female CC insomnia. She's in LA for a training at
Vidal Sasoon Academy and she left her 2 year old at home on the east
coast with Mom. She has trouble falling asleep and worries about
her son a lot. Her energy is 7/10. BM 2-3 per day formed. Appetite
is good
P. wiry and rapid
T. red, no coat
I used the night time wei qi cycle and found a blog on earth with a
compass of fire. The tx opened with sp 2. The pulse shifted
slightly. This is my build out:
LV 13, SP 4, ST 36, Ren 17, Du 24, Sp 8
Case 2 30 yr female CC Lumbar back pain. Upon return from Brazil
patient strained back at customs while trying to lift boyfriend's
case. Other symptoms include fatigue, voracious appetite, and
bloating after eating.
P. rapid full, and wiry
T. shrunken and red
I used the day time wei qi cycle. The blog was on tai yin. I
palpated Sp 8 and the pulse evened out. I decided to start local
Build out:
UB 23, 52, huato jia ji and shi points. A huge histamine response
occurred and the needle trembled vigorously. I added GB 35. LI 4 and
LV 3 to round it out. After 3 treatments patient reported 85%
improvement of back pain.
