I have seen patients crave the specific foods/drugs/activities that defeat/disharmonize them when they are sick/imbalanced; why do people crave things that weaken them when they are sick/imbalanced?

I too have found this interesting..and thus far seem to believe that "damaging elements/habits etc"  have a role to play..sometimes they are "familiar pathogens" we know who we are fighting..and fighting is itself quickening/alert making..sometimes they are suicide vectors when we are literally choosing death over life and it's struggles..the conscription into conventional emotional life doesn't work for alot of people and we/they cut ourselves searching for feelings other than those of isolation and the narrowness of acceptable expectations..
