Wang's eight extra vessel system describes the yin wei vessel in the ulnar aspect of the distal position. For those of you who are Shen-Hammer officianados...it is the same as the Special Lung Pulse (SLP). Try needling the Yin Wei vessel (P6 plus points on the trajectory) and see if the superficial palmar artery (SLP) moves toward the center and reduces in size.
