Hello,
For weeks I have sat back and read the emails each of you has sent. I am just
now coming back to the old me. My story is 12 years old so it would take that
long to explain everything. Short version is what I will have to go with for
now:

Met and married my psychopath husband (soon to be ex) just weeks after I
divorced my first husband, who was an angel in comparison!! Shannon is the
psychos name and a smooth operator is what he is. He is an alcoholic, or I
think he is, now I am not sure if that is even true. We, or should I say I, have
been through hell. From being kept like an animal to being beat like one. My
self esteem was depleted and I questioned everything I ever knew, or thought I
knew, was true. We have two kids, 6 and 3 years old. Everything was a
mess....until April 22, 2008. That is the day Jesus took my hand and said "Come
this way, time to go down this road." After that, in November, after I tried
counceling with my pastor and prayer that was relentless, I told him I wanted a
separation. He was fine with it. It gave him all the room he needed to find
another victim. During our separation, I read about psychopaths and bought the
book "Women who Love Physchopaths" and in the pages of that book were the days
of my life!!! Finally an explanation to what I "wasnt" doing wrong!! Praise God
for the author of that book. Since then I have filed for divorce, obtained a 2
year protective order and am regaining my life. I have mended family relations
and for once since I met him, I am starting to feel normal. I am in therapy, I
have trouble knowing that peace is okay. My therapist says for so long I have
tried to determine the next move that it will take some time before I will be
able to realize that peace is okay!!

I am sharing this with everyone because there is hope. If you have had any
prior assaults commited by your psychopath, you may be able to seek and obtain a
protective order against them. I am sure you have heard that "no contact" is
best... IT IS THE ONLY WAY!! They know exactly how to work you because they have
set it up that way! Find Jesus and lean on Him.... He will be faithful to every
promise... and since evil cannot dwell in the same place... the victory has
already been won!!!

If any of you should have questions or need to know any further information
about how I am dealing with court, kids and such... just ask!!

God Bless!!!
Laura
