The cost of Enbrel is about $1,500. per month without insurance. I've been on
Enbrel since 12/2002. If someone is having a hard time getting it they should
call Enliven Services (Enbrel Help line) at 1-888-4ENBREL (1-888-436-2735).
Speak with a patient educator to discuss your current situation. There may be
some assistance available or they may be able to point you in the direction of a
rheumatologist or dermatologist (depending on whether or not you have P or PA)
who is doing a study where you can get the drug for free. Try calling
rheumatologists or dermatologists in your area who are known to treat a lot of
psoriasis patients and those who prescribe systemic medications. They may also
know of drug trials that could be available. There may be a trial with Enbrel
or another biologic that could be a potential therapy you could use.
