I remember e-mailing you before but some how lost touch. Good to
read your imput and yes, I do agree with you on how psoriasis effects
us. No body undestands unless they are living the " Heart Brake Of
Psoriasis" I once had a counsoler tell me after I told him I hated to
be out in the public with my skin showing he had the nerve to tell me he
understood because he was almost bald headed. I looked at him and say
yes but would someone refuse to set by you just because your head was
bald? NO, they wouldn't, but if they saw my skin they would rudly stare
then move away! He didn't know what to say then. I have gone to
several counslors to try to fight this depession and hurt that psoriasis
has done to me. None understood. The best is like this group to talk
things out , we truly understand the emotional side of living with
psoriais. It effects every thing in our lives . It takes a very
special person in our lives to be our mates . At least we know they
really love us to put up with the scales all over the floor when we
walk, or how our moods change with how bad our skin is. So many things
we have to deal with that if not for psoriasis we ourself would just
take for granted.
I have been on SS Disabilty for about 7 years. I guess I was one
of the lucky ones they listen too. I have 80% coverage, and I took
pictures of my body. The pictures did my talking. Even when the Judges
Secretary saw my pictures tears came to her eyes. I also have PA very
bad and each year brings both P and PA worse. I have had psoriasis
since the age of 5. Even if one day a cure was found for psoriasis the
scars will never leave because of the deep impact psoriasis did in my
life. Zoella
