Hi Roy,
I live in Australia and have had Psoratic Arthritis for about 8
years, but only diagnosed a couple of years ago. I am on 15mg of
methotrexate, a disease modifying drug and have been for about 2
years. I have it in one foot, knee and hand and possibly hip. I
have had to modify my lifestyle a little. I can still enjoy a twenty
to thirty minute walk. Some days I'm better than others. I don't
work outside the home and would find it difficult to do a job where I
was standing alot. Before I was on the methotrexate I could not go
walking or enjoy an simple shopping expedition. After fifteen
minutes walking around a shoping mall would be enough.
Most people that don't know me would not know that I suffer from
Psoratic Arthritis. I am not pain free, but am alot better off than
other people who I've read messages from on this web site. I am 47
years old. I don't know what the future holds, but agree with
Kathryn there are many developments coming along now and I think we
have a much brighter future than our grandparents. I wish you well.
By the way everyone else. How is Pam going with her pregnancy.
Keep positive
Jenny from Aus
