I have not been very impressed by the results I have seen. It may be that the "new" fat cells are just as susceptible to the old issues that they don't hold up. It would be interesting to see if the long term results are better, now that drugs are more "lipo friendly." There can be considerable pain from the donor site, as well, and often, there aren't very good donor sites in people with lipo.
By all means DO NOT allow the fat from a buffalo hump to be used in the face. The results can be worse than the original problem.
While there is a certain poetry in using the body's own tissues, I would not consider this surgery when good injectables seem to do better, faster, and cheaper.
