It's been two decades since I was sick. I suggest balanced rest and
activity. Not too much of either. Drink lots of clear liquids. Walk.
Get lots of cranial sacral work from a GOOD practitioner. Very
expensive. I'll get a name for someone in your area if you email me
with a request. I get work done from one of the best instructors in
the country. Use small amounts of medication. Keep the pain controlled
so it doesn't set in a pattern. The pattern tends to not ever leave,
so you need to control it from the outset. Get good sleep, don't over
stress yourself. Keep balance in your life. Don' chase a lot of
doctors. They don't know anything about post meningitis syndrome. Do
tai chi, yoga, etc. Keep moving and stretch your body gently, focusing
on your spine. Don't over take tylenol, etc. It's probably a
management thing, not a fixable thing. They can't see it so they can't
fix it. It's also probably in your brain/surrounding your brain and
spine. Too dangerous to touch. I'll help you if I can.
