I'm new here and wondering if you can advise me... i got viral
meningitis in early august and after a week in hospital i recovered
slowly. I thought i was better in the last 2 ish weeks but yesterday
from the early hours i was crippled with a headache 9/10 accompanied
with vomiting. It subsided after taking morphine type tabs i was given
on discharge from the hospital (i had to wait until my dad called to
see me as i cudnt get out of bed even...). It left me dazed, feeling
ill, slow and useless for the day and for half of today. I had 3 such
days after my discharge from the hospital but i thought i was better. I
was discharged from the neurologist last wednesday after i told them i
was fine!!My question to you is should i go to my gp about this or do i
just hope it goes away??...

I would definitely stay in touch with your GP. Sometimes viral isn't viral. I've been sick for 15 weeks of the last 24 but only the first few were really bad....

YES! GO SEE YOUR GP. This is not normal. . . If your doctor doesn't know, he or she can't help. . . that's the rule of thumb. Just because you tell them...

Laura, Your instance sounds very similar to my wife's. She was diagnosed with viral meningitis. After about 4 days, she felt like it was gone. She was...

It's been two decades since I was sick. I suggest balanced rest and activity. Not too much of either. Drink lots of clear liquids. Walk. Get lots of cranial...
