Re: It's been 9 months since my last positive lumbar

Hi Diane,
I got meningitis 3 1/2 years ago I've been in the hosp.ER several times since
then with reacuring symptoms. My head hurts everyday but the important question
is "What does your headache feel like? If it feels like your brain is swelling
and bumping against your skull or like its in a vice it may be a hydrocephalis
headache, They tend to be worse when their is a low pressure system in the
weather or in other words when it is stormy outside. If your brain feels like it
is burning look up "Cerebral Arachnoiditis" on the internet
Sincerely Mert
PS I've been on Topamax, Hydroco, and many other meds, the only one that has
truly helped me is Tramadol. I take two, three times a day and it has helped me
to live a pretty normal life.

one that means I might keep getting meningitis, fun!) and now suffer from daily
headaches. They come on in the early afternoon and while I would not describe
them as migraines, I go from high functioning normal me to on the verge of tears
if not crying, no patience, and have difficulties focusing.

doses, still need narcotics almost daily. The goal is of course to not need any
oxycodone. I think I can safely say that at this point it's effecting my heart
rate. I started a new walking regime and wore a heart monitor and just walking
across the parking lot and a small part of a hill got my heart rate up to 140.
Ouch. First I thought it was the Topamax but after talking to my third doctor I
think it's the oxy.

time work but I'm having a hard time imagining NOT bursting into tears in the
afternoon. And of course I'm just functioning enough to not qualify for any
assistance.

It's the stormy season here and it's definitely gotten worse with the pressure. I still love thunder storms but now they are in my head :-). It feels like...
