Hi Phil,

I just found this yahoogroup. I've been dealing with mine for over 10
years. It has started to happen a little more frequently. Finally
went to the doctor a few months ago and they want to schedule surgery.
After some looking around on the internet about the surgery I am
afraid to have it done. You last posted in 2005 so I am hoping you
are still around to give another update. Are you happy with the
surgery or would you advise against it? Have you had any recurrence?

If anyone else could chime in it would be greatly appreciated!

you care about these words.

Hi there,

I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.

This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here: http://www.eccentrix.com/members/un4 Where you can read the rest of
this message as web page.

Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:
http://freewebs.com/unhcrlebanon/smile.html

For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example: The refugees
allege that UNHCR staff is selling most of the food items they are supposed to
be supplied.
"They aren't supplying sufficient food to us because they sell most of the food
items," they allege: http://allafrica.com/stories/200503140214.html

Here is another example: Burmese Refugees Withdraw Protest Against UNHCR
http://www.mizzima.com/archives/news-in-2005/news-in-april/12-April05-22.htm

"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm

Together we will build better world.

You could reach me fast via this form:

about me, you can google for my name 'osam altaee'.

UPDATE
It has now been 6 weeks since my surgery. All is well. I had a dull
ache for the first 5-6 days, but after that, nothing. My doc is
letting this heal as an open wound.

Once everyweek I would go in to see him and he would use a q-tip
(small wooden stick with cotton at the end of it) which had been
dipped in an 85% solution of phenol to swab out the inside of the
wound. The phenol chemically burns the skin.

The idea is to scar the wound area as much as possible. Because as I
an you all know, hair doesn't grow on a scar.

I have one last treatment and that will be then end of them.

Hi All.

I am a 25 year old female from South Africa. I have been dealing with
my cyst for four years, 5 operations later and am currently dealing
with my 6th very painful one. After visiting numerous doctors with
different diagnosis and I came across the PC website yesterday and for
the first time, I could put a name to it! It also makes things so much
easier knowing that there are others out there, so thank you all for
this very informative support.

Does anyone know of a surgeon or doctor in CapeTown, South Africa who
treats this? I visited a doctor on Sunday morning who told me that my
cyst is not ready to be drained but put me on my second course of anti-
biotics & painkillers nontheless.

Pls advise

Hi, I personally dont see how this stuff can work. It
may sound horrid but inside a cyst it genrally hair,
and sometimes more than u would expect. and unless
this stuff actully takes out the hair from deep
inside, which i doubt it could do that, i dont see how
it can stop it from coming back.

If it draws out the puss then all well and good but i
wouldnt think it would stop it. It sounds like a quick
fix.

The best way to be rid of this would be to have it
removed, once all healed keep the ares hair free, and
very clean, there is alway a possabilty it will come
back ot mater what u do.

I had the closed surery in Febuary of this year, the
operation lasted arond 40 minutes, (well thats when
the doc said, i was asleep) and i didnt experience any
pain at all, i didnt even need pain killers, it just
ached.

Anyway if this stuff u get does work let me know and
ill keep it in mind just in case mine ever comes back
(fingers and toes crossed it doesnt)

Good luck xx

Hi my name is Ray. I started this group so we could help each
other through this disease. It seems to be a popular condition
that not many know about until they find out they have it. It
will be nice when we have people who have dealt with it in the
past to ask questions that we that are going through it now might
have. Use this forum as you think you need to.
                                  Thanks Ray R.
